Turns out there wasn’t anything wrong with Diana York, there was something wrong with how we define women. She was physically powerful, intellectually powerful, ultimately it turned out even spiritually powerful, and all of this scared the people in her world badly enough that they tried to strip her of her powers. And until she found feminism, she pretty much let them.
Now that same girl ls a woman, someone who walks through the world armed with all kinds of tools to make herself comfortable and to help her interpret what she sees. Instead of having a bunch of anonymous people she’s never even met tell her what to do, she now thinks for herself. That rocks. Every day she encounters messages all over the place that try to tell her what to think and what to look like and who to be. She no longer has to listen and she also gets to fight back, completely redefining her world and inviting people who don’t like what they see happening in their world and in their lives to come along with her.
Should you shave under your arms?

Should you join a sorority?
Should you go to church?
Should you wear make-up?
Should you keep your boyfriend?
Should you go on a diet?
Should you douche?
Dr Blaine wonders how anyone could possibly begin to answer these questions without knowing what brilliant women have thought and said about these issues and many others. For that reason she longs to share what she knows, and what her truth is, and how she lives her life, in order that the wonderful women who follow along behind her can find their own truths and live fully realized lives.

Dr. Diana Blaine is a PhD philosopher, writer, adventurer, bon vivant and buttkicker. She's read and studied how gender dynamics function in our culture, and here on this website, she holds forth on these issues. She's got a rich life beyond these pages;
